Kat just uploaded this video to her Youtube account, to share some big news about her music!

She’s been signed to AM Octone Records and will be recording the video for the first single with the company, ‘Paint Your Graffiti on Me’ this weekend. Congrats Kat!

Kat uploaded this video for her new song, ‘Take Me Away’ the other day. It also has lots of new footage from her OP Campaign shoot, check it out!

Also, she teamed up with her TVD co-stars Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Joseph Morgan to make this video appealing to all the fans to vote for the show at the People’s Choice Awards. The show is up for Favorite Network TV Drama, Favorite Ssci/Fi Fantasy Show and Favorite TV Actor/Actress for Ian and Nina. Vote for them here.

The Eyecon Convention in Atlanta was this past weekend, and thanks to @KYChelsMarie and @Naira_TVD we’ve got pictures from the event as well as Kat’s Halloween costume at the ISF Empoweresque Dinner.

What a sad episode for Bonnie! :( Still it was great episode and Kat knocked it out of the park. As usual.

Ahead of Bonnie’s triumphant return to the show tonight, a bunch of new interviews have popped up.

First is from Zap2it, where Kat talks about Bonnie, her upcoming storylines, and working with Malese and Kayla again, amongst other things.

Next up is a fun chat with Insider. She talks about the show, shipping, and all the action coming up this season.

Finally, she talks to Starry Mag about the upcoming season and other aspects of her career.

Q. How did the release of your poetry book The Blue Sky Chronicles come about?

A. I met someone and the relationship that I was in before the one I’m in now, I wrote it literally. I kind of documented the mental process of falling in love and it was very interesting and I thought that my fans would get a kick out of it so I decided to release a poetry book.

Q. How is writing poetry similar and different to when you write songs?

A. It’s very different. With songs I feel this, kind of, responsibility and kind of a weight to appease the audience and to make sure people like it because I just want it to get heard, you know what I mean? I want to make it as universal as possible. With poetry I’m a bit more selfish with writing that kind of stuff because it really doesn’t concern me whether it sells or not because I’m not a professional author, I’m just doing it for fun, but I am a professional recording artist so, you know, we feel like this sense of weight in the recording industry because of where it’s at right now and because we need to have the most happening and, you know, kind of eclectic song out there, so, that’s how it’s different for me.

Q. With the ghosts Jeremy’s been seeing, how will this effect Bonnie and Jeremy’s relationship?

A. She will absolutely 100% accepts it because if he chooses these girls over something as permanent as Bonnie, it’s going to really prove to Bonnie that he hasn’t let go of his past, and if he tries to get rid of them and tries to be alone with them, then you know what Bonnie’s really going say, you know what, that’s amazing of you and I think she would really feel gratitude for that.
